It was made before planned obsolescence. Has a powerful motor. I'm only selling because I recently upgraded to a much more expensive food processor. I may regret selling this one because of its compact size. It is a very sought after machine and sells for $54.00 on ebay plus shipping. Complete, but no box and no manual. I use it for chopping onions. I do 3 lbs. at one sitting (1 onion at a time) and freeze 1/3 cup in baggies for easy meal prep. I also use the same blade for cutting butter into flour for pie crusts, biscuits and scones
I shred carrots, for salad or coleslaw. I shred cabbage for coleslaw. I shred zucchini for zucchini bread.
