straight leg jeans. The legs are straight, they are not flared, nor are they leggings tight. They are a really nice fitting pair of jeans. These jeans are made from clean recycled stretch jeans. I use only clean jeans with no holes or stains. Recycling was popular during the Westward expansion out of necessity. Today it is done by choice. This is a better quality more realistic denim than I could find at fabric stores. The denim is the same weight you wear. Elastic waist for ease of dressing. Original side seams and hem from the jeans to give the doll jeans a more authentic look. I have made and sold many doll jeans from recycled jeans. I stitch through the elastic waist a couple of times to prevent rolling or twisting. All seams are stitched twice, first with a sewing machine straight stitch and then a serger to prevent fraying. I know how many times these clothes will be put on and taken off, so I strive to make them last for this generation and to be handed down to the next. I have added a tag to assist in resale should the owner decide not to keep her doll clothes for the next generation. These jeans are modeled on an American Girl doll but fit equally well on Life of Faith, Daisy Kingdom, Our Generation, Battat and most other similarly sized 18 inch dolls. ** Color may be slightly off due to monitor color setting/flash of camera ** Item # 12720.

Educational: One of my fondest memories is of putting together new outfits from separates (ie skirts, tops, jackets, jeans, etc.) for my dolls. It was a great way to learn how to do this for myself. I am now doing this with my daughter with her clothes. We are having so much fun. Now she is getting better at it than I am. Recently we had an outfit of two solid colors. We wanted something to tie it all together. She thought and then said, "I know" and ran out of the room. She came back with a necklace with those two colors. These jeans can be paired with any top, t-shirt, or sweater.

I package very carefully, usually in a plastic bag to keep it dry, should the package get wet. Then in a box or bubble envelope. I will use recycled packaging when available.
