I stitch through the elastic a couple of times to prevent rolling or twisting. All seams are stitched twice, first with a sewing machine straight stitch and then a serger to prevent fraying. I know how many times these clothes will be put on and taken off, so I strive to make them last for this generation and to be handed down to the next. I have added a tag to assist in resale should the owner decide not to keep her doll clothes for the next generation. Educational: One of my fondest memories is of putting together new outfits from separates (ie skirts, tops, jackets, jeans, etc.) for my dolls. It was a great way to learn how to do this for myself.
