Jeanous Dollclothes for conservative young ladies presents this unique sleeveless blue glitter print A-line dress and blue sash. The A-line style is a relatively modern silhouette, arriving in the 1950s. It is fitted at the shoulders and hips and gradually widens towards the hem, giving the impression of the shape of a capital letter A. The term A-line was first used to refer to a fashion silhouette by Christian Dior, the hero of French couture design in the 1950s. Dress closes in the back with velcro. The fabric is a multitude of blues. A light blue sash with a velcro closure is included with this dress. I know how many times these clothes will be put on and taken off, so I strive to make them last for this generation and to be handed down to the next. This dress is modeled on the American Girl doll, but fits equally well on the Life of Faith, Our Generation Battat, My Life As or most other 18” dolls. Educational: One of my fondest memories is of putting together new outfits from separates (ie skirts, tops, jackets, jeans, etc.) for my dolls. It was a great way to learn how to do this for myself. I am now doing this with my daughter with her clothes. We are having so much fun. Now she is getting better at it than I am. Recently we had an outfit of two solid colors. We wanted something to tie it all together. She thought and then said, "I know" and ran out of the room. She came back with a necklace with those two colors. This dress can be paired with a white cluney lace sash for more dressy occasions or a cardigan sweater, shrug or blazer for cooler days. I do have a short sleeve blue cardigan sweater listed as a separate item for $10.00 which would look very nice with this dress. White lace sash can be added for an additional $2.00 when you purchase this dress or any other doll clothes. The sash (es) can be coordinated and worn with other dresses and skirts providing even more versatility for creativity.
