Celebrate spring with this handmade daisy theme dark pink ankle length dress made from a lovely 100% cotton dark pink background with yellow centered white daisies with lavender shading in a toss pattern fabric. The fully lined bodice is whimsical with two rows of gathered white daisy pattern lace forming a V in the front and back. A glittery pink double scalloped edge ribbon follows the V. The eye catching center front emphasizes the daisy theme with a two layer white daisy lace applique with a bright yellow center shank button. The short sleeves have a cuff trimmed with a flat (not gathered) version of the white daisy lace and the glittery pink double scalloped ribbon. A dark pink ribbon bow on the outside of each sleeve. Very full skirt can look even more full with a slip underneath. Dress has a gathered self-fabric ruffle just like the Life of Faith doll dresses from Mission City. This dress uses more fabric than the traditional American Girl doll dresses as evidenced in the very full skirt and a ruffle. You won't find many dresses with a ruffle because it uses more fabric and takes more time. Dress opens and closes with three snaps in the back. Snaps don't get caught in the dolls hair like velcro does. All seams are stitched twice, first with a sewing machine straight stitch and then a serger to prevent fraying. I know how many times these clothes will be put on and taken off, so I strive to make them last for this generation and to be handed down to the next. This is a high end heirloom quality dress. I have added a tag to assist in resale should the owner decide not to keep her doll clothes for the next generation. This dress is modeled on an American Girl, but fits equally well on the Life of Faith, Daisy Kingdom, Our Generation, Battat, My Life As and most other similarly sized 18 inch dolls. I had someone request that I add a ruffle to the traditional length of a dress for her Carpatina doll, so This little bit longer dress might work very well for a Carpatina doll. I don't know much about the Carpatina dolls, so please use your own best judgement.
