Life of Faith Modern Clothes for Conservative Young Ladies
At the close of 2008 Mission City Press stopped selling Life of Faith dolls, clothing and accessories. If you are fortunate to own one of these dolls you know that the clothes are becoming scarce. Not all patterns available for the 18” dolls fit the Life of Faith dolls correctly. Because this apron is modeled on a Life of Faith doll, you know before you buy that it fits correctly.
Description: LIFE OF FAITH 18" DOLL CLOTHES COLONIAL APRON AMERICAN GIRL FELICITY, ELIZABETH. I chose a 100% cotton with a homespun weave in a natural ivory color. The apron utilizes a drawstring like colonists did. The drawstring is a hand crocheted cotton yarn. I stitched through the casing to hold the drawstring in, so it can't come out and need to be reinserted or get lost. Colonists could not or did not buy ready made trims. They made any trims themselves. This hand crocheting gives an historically accurate appearance to the apron. The apron ties in the back with the drawstring. Apron can be worn gathered as in the picture or smooth with no gathers. I did topstitch the hem on the apron, so machine stitching is visible. All seams are stitched twice, first with a sewing machine straight stitch and then a serger to prevent fraying. I know how many times these clothes will be put on and taken off, so I strive to make them last for this generation and to be handed down to the next.

The item is packaged very carefully, usually in a plastic bag to keep it dry, should the package get wet, then in a box or bubble envelope. A packing slip is included in case the package ends up in the dead letter file. I use USPS tracking labels. I have not had a package that was not delivered. Recycled packaging will be used when available. The handling is to cover additional shipping costs such as gas, printer paper and ink, packing materials, bubble mailing envelopes, etc. Please check FAQ's for any changes in shipping information.
