Jeanous Dollclothes for Conservative Young Ladies presents this unique red heart print elastic waist modest skirt. Red filigree hearts with a white bow in an allover pattern on a white background is prefect for this doll size skirt. I stitch through the elastic a couple of times to prevent rolling or twisting. All seams are stitched twice, first with a sewing machine straight stitch and then a serger to prevent fraying. I know how many times these clothes will be put on and taken off, so I strive to make them last for this generation and to be handed down to the next. I have added a tag to assist in resale should the owner decide not to keep her doll clothes for the next generation. This skirt is modeled on the Life of Faith doll, but fits equally well on the American Girl Doll, Our Generation Battat, or most other 18” doll. Model doll is Life of Faith Elsie Dinsmore. Educational: One of my fondest memories is of putting together new outfits from separates (ie skirts, tops, jackets, jeans, etc.) for my dolls. It was a great way to learn how to do this for myself. I am now doing this with my daughter with her clothes. We are having so much fun. Now she is getting better at it than I am. Recently we had an outfit of two solid colors. We wanted something to tie it all together. She thought and then said, "I know" and ran out of the room. She came back with a necklace with those two colors. This skirt can be paired with a red or white top, leotard, or sweater.
